This project was an effort to re-design our onboarding flow so that we minimize drop off, can accurately determine the persona of the user in the Sandboxx context, and overall simplify things. The project went well on the web side of things, the main complication with this one was the management of the user's persona. Based on the user's answers to questions, we slot them into different personas, that would then be used in several features later on to create a customized experience for each type of Sandboxx user. The project was a fresh opportunity to refactor a good amount of code related to sign up and simplify some of our login logic. Additionally, this change introduced the ability to sign up with a phone number, which meant several new endpoints had to be introduced that would be used for requesting codes for phone verification, adding additional profile info, and finally routing the user into the Onboarding experience.
